Law firm Covington & Burling has promoted Erica Andersen to partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice.
Andersen previously worked as an associate at the firm, a role she held for seven years.
Her practice focuses on IP litigation, patents, claim construction, pre-trial hearings and Hatch Waxman cases before the US District Courts for the Southern District of New York and Northern District of Texas.
She has represented clients in the pharmaceutical, messaging technology and digital analytics industries.
Andersen is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, and the move is one of 13 promotions at the firm.
