WIPR launches industry-first ranking of top trade secrets firms

Discover the industry leaders in multi-jurisdictional trade secrets disputes | Special supplement focuses on threats, strategy, and US vs China.

WIPR Insights, has launched WIPR  Law Firm Rankings, the home of authoritative, well-researched, innovative, and business-essential IP global rankings information.

This November we'll be launching a special edition on the secretive and sometimes dramatic world of Global Trade Secrets.

Commenting on the launch, Baron Armah-Kwantreng, rankings editor, said: “Global brands and their IP practitioners are increasingly aware of the risks posed by their most valuable know-how, or 'secret sauce', exiting the building on a data stick with former employees.

"The WIPR Insights Global Trade Secrets rankings supplement will spotlight the global firms who can help clients navigate these risks.”

According to the World Intellectual Property Organization, trade secrets are IP rights on confidential information that is commercially valuable and where reasonable steps have been taken to maintain its secrecy.

Recent changes in trade secrets policy in the US, EU and Japan reflect a business world where intangible assets represent the bulk of the value of modern companies.

Law firms and their clients are increasingly engaged with protecting these assets from internal and external aggressors.

And many are being caught up in a geopolitical ‘great game’ between China and the US and others over ownership and access to strategically important cutting-edge technologies.

It is against this background that WIPR Insights will present feature articles and an industry-first ranking of the leading law firms capable of navigating clients through complex, high value, multi-jurisdictional global trade secrets matters.
