Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld (RCCB) has added an IP partner to its New York City office.
Donna Tobin, who joins from Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, will lead the firm’s new trademarks and brands group.
With experience in trademark and copyright law, Tobin has helped companies protect and monetise their brands across a range of industries including food and drink, fashion, software and technology.
Tobin, who also regularly defends clients against infringement allegations, said she was delighted to be part of a firm that shares her “dedication to the entrepreneurial spirit”.
“RCCB is a special place that’s turning the traditional law firm model on its head. I couldn’t be more excited to contribute to that transformation,” she said.
RCCB’s managing partner, John Royer, welcomed Tobin to the firm.
“It was evident from our first meeting that her passion for her clients’ businesses and the way in which she engages with them aligns with RCCB’s culture,” he said.
Royer added: “Having someone with Donna’s expertise lead our new trademarks and brands group will be invaluable for our clients as well as our attorneys.”
