Novak Druce and Connolly Bove to merge

IP law firms Novak Druce + Quigg and Connolly Bove are closing in on a merger that they claim will create the seventh largest IP boutique firm in the US.

Subject to final discussions, closing conditions and partnership voting, the merger is expected to be completed by January 1, 2013. The new firm will be called Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP, and will employ around 140 attorneys, agents and technical advisers. Headquartered in Texas, the new firm will also have offices in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles.

“Without doubt, our respective clients will benefit from the combined synergies of our new firm, and we could not be more excited about those possibilities,” said Jeffrey B. Bove, managing partner of Connolly Bove.
