Murtha Cullina adds counsel in Connecticut
Law firm Murtha Cullina has added Benjamin White as counsel to its IP practice in Stamford, Connecticut.
White’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, litigation and strategy. He joins from St Onge Steward Johnston & Reens, where he spent 14 years, including five as a partner.
White has also served as secretary of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association since 2016.
Prior to his legal career, White worked as an electrical engineer. He developed radar systems for military aircraft, working at aerospace firm Pratt & Whitney and arms manufacturer Raytheon.
Anthony Gangemi, chair of the firm’s IP practice group, said White’s experience working as an engineer gives him a “unique perspective and the ability to more effectively communicate with inventors—many of which are engineers themselves”.
Gangemi added: “He also has strong patent litigation experience and has worked on post-grant proceedings at the Patent Office. Ben is a valuable addition to our team and we are very happy he joined our firm.”
