Michael Best hires Merchant & Gould litigator

Michael Best & Friedrich has expanded its litigation practice group with the addition of Shane Brunner as partner.

Brunner, who joins from Merchant & Gould, has represented clients in patent, trademark, and trade secret matters in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, biotechnology and computer technologies.

John Scheller, chair of Michael Best’s litigation practice, said: “His broad range of IP litigation experience and proven track record will bring great depth to our already-established group, and we’re looking forward to having him on our team.”

Brunner said he was honoured to be part of the firm’s “noteworthy” IP and litigation practice groups.
