McCarthy Denning adds two new IP partners
UK law firm McCarthy Denning has hired two partners to boost its IP department.
In a press release issued Monday, January 21, the firm announced that Dawn Osborne and David Sant will join the firm’s City of London office.
Osborne’s expertise includes copyright, trademarks and designs. She is a board member of the Federation Against Software Theft and head of its legal action committee.
With more than 18 years of experience as a partner in boutique IP firms, her practice focuses on litigation, advice and mediation.
Sant joins from boutique legal practice Angel IP, having previously worked at Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz UK, and Bird & Bird. An experienced patent attorney, Sant specialises in litigation, arbitration and licensing. In recent years, he has focused his practice largely on standard essential patents and FRAND licensing.
Warren Wooldridge, CEO and co-founder of McCarthy Denning, said that in 2019 the firm would focus on bolstering its “existing presence in the legal market through high-calibre recruits, especially now that we have relocated to a larger and more contemporary office space to accommodate such growth”.
