Maiwald promotes two IP partners

Germany-based law firm Maiwald has promoted Sophie Ertl and Eva Dörner to partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice in Munich.

Ertl has experience in patent infringement and utility model infringement proceedings and litigation.

Her clients include companies in the engineering industry and she previously worked at BMW’s engine production division.

Dörner’s practice focuses on securing and enforcing IP for clients in the chemistry, pharmacy and plant protection industries.

Martin Huenges, partner at the firm, said: “We are delighted to welcome two more equity partners. Sophie Ertl will reinforce the partner level in the expanding field of engineering.

“Eva Dörner will assist in designing the continued expansion of the chemical, pharmaceutical and plant protection sectors.”
