Leason Ellis promotes two to partner
Leason Ellis has promoted Lauren Emerson and Jordan Garner to partner.
Emerson, who joined the firm as counsel in 2017, focuses her practice primarily on copyright, trademark, trade dress, and unfair competition issues, counselling clients in industries including apparel, jewellery, software, automotive technology, toys, sporting goods, and pharmaceuticals.
Peter Sloane, chair of the trademark and copyright practice group at Leason Ellis, said: “Lauren’s legal talent, work ethic, client service, and collegiality embody who we are as a firm. I’m proud to call her my new partner.”
Before joining Leason Ellis, Emerson served as a senior associate at Baker Botts. She began her career in brand management, working for Pokémon USA.
Garner joined Leason Ellis in 2010 as an associate. He focuses on patent prosecution and litigation services in fields such as consumer products, industrial refinery processes, textile technologies, pharmaceuticals, telecoms, electro-mechanic devices, and genetic engineering.
“We are proud to acknowledge Jordan’s accomplishments as he has proven his worth to our firm many times over,” said David Leason, managing partner at Leason Ellis. “Jordan’s winning personality, legal acumen, practical approach and strategic mindset benefit our firm as much as our clients. We are excited to support his continued success as a new partner of our firm.”
Prior to Leason Ellis, Garner held attorney positions at Darby & Darby and Morgan & Finnegan where he worked on patent prosecution and patent litigation matters.
