Hinckley Allen adds IP counsel in Boston

Hinckley Allen has added Carol Peters to its IP group as counsel.

Peters has expertise in matters related to trademark, patent, copyright, social media, domain names, and advertising.

She has counselled businesses on the protection and commercialisation of brand names, trademarks, copyright, and creative content, as well as providing advice on the IP aspects of domestic and international business expansions.

At Hinckley Allen, she will assist clients from innovative industries—including entrepreneurs and start-ups—seeking to obtain IP rights and develop trademark and patenting strategies.

Peters, who will be based in the firm’s Boston office, most recently managed the global trademark portfolio of American beverage company Keurig Green Mountain. In this role, she handled all aspects of US and foreign trademark prosecution, registration, maintenance, and enforcement.

David Rubin, managing partner at Hinckley Allen, said: “Carol has a wealth of experience working closely with highly-agile business teams, particularly brand teams, to navigate the complex IP challenges facing clients.”Did you enjoy reading this story?  Sign up to our free daily newsletters and get stories like this sent straight to your inbox.
