New head for Baker Botts London IP team

Peter Taylor has joined Baker Botts as partner and head of the London IP team after more than 10 years at Clifford Chance.

He will help develop the new practice area for the firm and will focus on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes.

“We have been looking for a senior lawyer to be based in London and lead our IP efforts both in the UK and throughout Europe,” said Bart Showalter, chair of the firm’s IP department.

“Peter brings a renewed energy to our international initiatives. His practice is diversified, sophisticated and a great fit for our group.”
