Haynes and Boone hires two partners in Chicago
International firm Haynes and Boone has added two IP partners to its Chicago office.
Laura Miller, who joins from Brinks Gilson & Lione, has represented tech companies in patent infringement actions before the International Trade Commission as well as arbitration over the misappropriation of trade secrets.
Miller said she was excited to join an international firm: “My clients increasingly manage IP portfolios that are global in scope, so I am thrilled to join a firm like Haynes and Boone that offers an expanded platform to handle large, sophisticated IP matters on a national and international basis.”
Also joining the firm, Ralph Gabric, who was also at Brinks Gilson & Lione, has patent litigation experience spanning a variety of technologies including software, medical devices, communications networks and automotive.
He has also previously represented generic pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation.
Gabric said he had previously worked with many Haynes and Boone lawyers, each of which have impressed him.
He added: “I am excited to help Haynes and Boone expand in Chicago, where I have spent my entire career, and in other markets.”
Richard Rochford, chair of the firm’s IP group, said he looked forward to working with the new partners.
