Haynes and Boone recruits post-grant review patent specialist

Haynes and Boone has added patent trial attorney Eugene Goryunov as a partner in its Chicago office.

Goryunov will form part of the firm’s post-grant review trials practice. He has experience in patent litigation matters across a range of sectors, including consumer goods, technology, and medical devices.

He has represented clients at more than 200 post-grant review trials, such as inter partes review (IPR), before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Goryunov has also served as trial counsel at federal district courts, the US International Trade Commission, and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

“We are endeavoring to meet the needs of our clients by adding talented practitioners like Eugene, who has a highly regarded practice handling patent trials before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board,” Partner David McCombs said. “He enhances the growth and reputation of our nationwide IPR practice.”
