Harrity & Harrity promotes trio to partner

Patent law firm Harrity & Harrity has promoted patent attorneys Neil Kardos, Eli Mazour, and Elaine Spector into partner roles.

John Harrity, managing partner of the Washington, DC-based firm, said that the appointments would play an “instrumental role in furthering Harrity’s accomplishments into the new decade”.

Kardos, who previously served as a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office, specialises in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and focuses his practice on electrical, computer, and mechanical technologies, including telecoms, 5G, and financial technologies.

As head of the firm’s patent prosecution team, Mazour helps large technology companies build valuable, high-quality patent portfolios and has particular expertise in developing and implementing innovative patent prosecution strategies.

Spector, who is the first female partner in the firm’s 21-year history, has more than 20 years of experience in IP law.

She has experience in patent application drafting and prosecution, trademark prosecution and enforcement, and litigating complex patent cases in federal courts. Spector’s current practice consists primarily of prosecuting patent applications with a focus on electromechanical technologies.
