German IP firm strengthens patent team

The equity partner joins from IP boutique Meissner Bolte | Firm will represent clients before “significant” Unified Patent Court locations.

German IP law firm Bardehle Pagenberg has enhanced its patent litigation practice with the addition of Tobias Wuttke.

Wuttke, who will serve as an equity partner, joins from IP boutique Meissner Bolte where he established and headed the litigation department since 2010.

Johannes Heselberger, managing partner of Bardehle Pagenberg, said: “We are extraordinarily happy to have won an extremely reputable patent litigation expert for our litigation group, which is continuously growing; thus, we will be represented at the significant Unified Patent Court locations Munich, Duesseldorf, Paris, and—soon—Hamburg.”

Wuttke specialises in national and cross-border patent litigation and has been engaged in hundreds of patent infringement and validity proceedings.

He advises blue chip companies, small-and-medium-sized enterprises and start-ups in the areas of telecoms, medical technology, the automotive industry, and life sciences.

Wuttke said: “I am really excited to become part of the firm Bardehle Pagenberg which perfectly matches my values and strategic orientation. Bardehle Pagenberg offers an outstanding international platform for comprehensively advising my clients in the context of high-profile disputes.”
