Duane Morris promotes three IP lawyers to partner
Duane Morris has promoted John Gibson, Karen Kline and Christopher Tyson to partner in the firm’s IP practice group.
The lawyers are based in Atlanta, Boca Raton (Florida) and Washington, DC, respectively.
Gibson focuses his practice on IP litigation and commercial litigation, representing high-technology clients in patent litigation involving nearly all aspects of telecoms.
Kline’s expertise includes trademark, patent and copyright procurement, enforcement and licensing. She has also authored and prosecuted patent applications in diverse technical areas, including medical equipment, semiconductor devices, tool and food products.
Tyson focuses on IP litigation in federal courts throughout the US, from pre-filing stages through discovery, summary judgment and trial. He assists clients in the acquisition of US and foreign patent rights and has experience with due diligence reviews of patents and trademarks.
In October, Duane Morris opened its 21st firm in the US—in Austin, Texas—and Bert Greene joined the firm as an IP partner from Norton Rose Fulbright.
