DLA Piper hires partner in Hamburg

DLA Piper has added to its German IP practice by appointing partner Dr Stefan Dittmer in Hamburg.

Dittmer joins from Baker & McKenzie in Berlin, where he worked for 15 years. He advises companies in the technology, chemicals and media sectors. He also advises plant and consumer goods manufacturers on brand, competition, design and copyright issues. Clients include companies producing telecoms devices and defence technology.

“We are pleased to have recruited a recognised expert in IP litigation. His experience will strengthen the expertise of DLA Piper in an area that is subject to particular demand in Hamburg and will further advance the strategic expansion of the Hamburg office,” said Dr Jan Geert Meents, managing Partner of DLA Piper in Germany.

Dittmer added: “I am looking forward to the assignment of contributing to the further expansion of the IP group in Germany and to working with my new colleagues.”
