DLA Piper adds partner in Leeds

Law firm DLA Piper has hired Leigh Martin as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property group in Leeds, UK.

Martin joins from Clarion Solicitors in Leeds where he was head of the IP practice, which he founded in 2009.

His practice focuses on patents, trademarks, copyright, licensing, dispute resolution and commercial litigation.

Before he joined Clarion, he worked at DLA Piper for several years in the firm’s IP group.

Chris Tulley, head of the IP team at the firm in Leeds, said: "Leigh's expertise, his success at Clarion and his previous work with us made him a natural fit for the team. He will be invaluable as we look to guide clients through the challenges posed by the IP landscape, today and in years to come."
