IP management and support organisation CPA Global has announced changes at the top with the appointment of a new chief executive officer.

Tim Griffiths (pictured) will become the company’s new head with Peter Sewell taking on the role as chairman, after serving 15 years as chief executive.

tim-griffiths-photo-2-.jpgGriffiths is the former executive chairman of the Williams Lea Group, a business process outsourcing (BPO) company specialising in marketing services.

Griffiths established Williams Lea as a BPO provider in 1993 and subsequently led the development of the company to create a $2 billion business.

Sewell said he was “delighted” to welcome Griffiths, adding that, with his experience, he would be able to “drive the company to further success.”

According to a CPA press release, Sewell will “continue to help guide” CPA’s strategic development and growth.

Sewell said: “I am looking forward to working closely with Tim, our management team and our investors … to deliver our ongoing growth strategy.”

CPA Global is an IP management and IP software specialist, and provides outsourced legal services. It has offices across Europe and US.

It was founded in Jersey, Channel Islands in 1969.

Last month, WIPR reported that it had taken over Nordic IP service provider Patrafee for an undisclosed fee.

Sewell and Griffiths will take up their roles at the end of March.
