Arent Fox to enter Boston market with Posternak merger

Arent Fox, based in Washington, DC, and  Posternak Blankstein & Lund have  reached an agreement to merge, effective January 1, 2019.

The merger represents Arent Fox’s first expansion into the Boston market, where Posternak and its 55 lawyers are based.

Mark Katz, chair of Arent Fox, said: “Posternak’s excellent reputation in Boston is a reflection of their legal talent and client-first approach.

“This is a firm that shares our values and commitment to service. Between our similar client focus and practice strengths—particularly in corporate, real estate, health and life sciences, and IP counselling—we saw this as a perfect match.”

After the merger, Arent Fox will have more than 450 attorneys focussing on IP, regulatory, transaction, and litigation counselling acoss Washington, DC, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Boston.
