AIPPI names Judith Willert as new exec director

The Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) has announced that Judith Willert has joined the organisation as its new executive director.

Willert assumed her role on August 1 in Zurich, Switzerland, and will be reporting directly to the secretary general and leading the general secretariat to support the work of the AIPPI Bureau and the wider AIPPI community.

Willert has extensive experience in the corporate world, specialising in global project  management. Before joining AIPPI, Judith developed her management skills while working at brands including Adidas, iTAG and Coca-Cola.

According to the AIPPI, her international experience and corporate mindset will complement the AIPPI as it rolls out its strategic plan over the next three years, while her strong leadership skills and team coaching experience will benefit the staff members at the AIPPI general secretariat.

Willert is a dual German and Swiss citizen who speaks both German and English, and she gained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business administration at the University of Flensburg in Hamburg, Germany.

The AIPPI’s 2021 World Congress Online will take place in October.
