AIPLA executive director steps down

Lisa Jorgenson is stepping down from her role as executive director of the  American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), after more than five years.

AIPLA’s deputy executive director Vincent Garlock has been appointed as acting executive director.

An association statement said: “In the time she has served us in that capacity, she has worked tirelessly to connect with AIPLA members—not only across the country but around the world—and to understand and address the challenges that IP practitioners are facing. We want to thank Lisa for her dedicated service and wish her well in her future endeavours.”

Jorgenson served as group vice president of IP and licensing at semiconductor company  STMicroelectronics for 13 years, before taking up the role of AIPLA executive director in late 2014.
