Firm overview:
Among the largest law firms in the world, DLA Piper has an expectedly well-resourced US trademark practice, comprising over 120 professionals backed up by a wider IP team. A US peer acknowledges it as a “leading firm in the industry”, with competitive numbers and achievements in trademark matters.
The firm’s lawyers manage trademarks in more than 150 countries, counselling clients on the selection, management, protection, monetisation and enforcement of their portfolios. Many clients outsource their entire trademark function to the firm.
With strengths across the board, the Trademark, Copyright and Media group handles complex litigation for some of the world’s leading brands. High-profile representations include acting for Nike in a trademark infringement case against StockX over alleged sales of unauthorised Nike-branded NFTs.
