Trademark lawyer joins Latham in New York
The firm has hired a litigator from Baker McKenzie for its New York office.
Latham & Watkins has hired Lindsey Utrata who will join the firm’s New York office as counsel in the IP litigation practice and litigation and trial department.
Utrata joins Latham from Baker McKenzie in New York and previously worked in Colgate-Palmolive’s trademark department and brand protection unit
She advises clients across industries on issues involving their global trademark portfolios, including brand management and brand enforcement.

Utrata’s experience includes overseeing the management and maintenance of complex, trademark and copyright portfolios, and advising on IP issues arising in the context of corporate and financial transactions.
She has also counselled and represented clients on a range of enforcement and validity challenges, from addressing infringement and dilution claims, to prosecuting and defending opposition and cancellation actions, and coordinating strategic responses to office actions.
