Red Points boosts team with former Workday VP of finance

Spain-based brand and copyright protection company Red Points has strengthened its leadership team with the addition of Lena Shishkina, former vice president of finance at software firm Workday.

Shishkina, who joins as chief financial officer and chief operations officer, will oversee worldwide operations, finance, and data management, as well as building new teams and functions.

Red Points has received four rounds of investment totaling $64 million and more than 600 brands rely on Red Points to fight fakes, piracy and distribution abuse online. Its investors include Fidelity International’s investment arm Eight Roads, Summit Partners, Northzone and Mangrove Partners.

Laura Urquizu, Red Points’ CEO, said: “Lena joins Red Points with a wealth of leadership experience. We are thrilled to have her expertise as part of our leadership, and with her collaboration will continue to expand our operations and finance teams.”

Before her three-year tenure at Workday, Shishkina also served as chief financial officer at German software corporation SAP.

Shishkina said she was excited to take on the dual role at Red Points.

“As a leading brand intelligence platform, Red Points offers a compelling scalable and cost-effective technology solution to address the rise of online brand abuse and protect our clients’ revenue. I look forward to leveraging my finance and operational management experience to help further the company’s success,” she added.
