Pinsent Masons hires Squire Patton Boggs partner

Pinsent Masons has hired a Squire Patton Boggs partner to establish its European brand portfolio management team, a trademark and design right filing practice.

Florian Traub is a dual-qualified English solicitor and German Rechtsanwalt specialising in brand protection strategies and portfolio management. He has experience in contentious soft IP for major brands.

Clare Tunstall, head of IP and life sciences at Pinsent Masons, said: “We’re experiencing increasing demand from clients across all our global sectors for a one-stop shop solution to soft IP issues.”

Traub added that he was excited to have the opportunity to build the European trademark practice.

Pinsent Masons’ soft IP team advises clients including Interflora, Specsavers and L’Oréal.
