Fish & Richardson hires former Sutton principal

Fish & Richardson has strengthened its trademark and copyright group with the addition of a former principal and partner at Sutton McAughan Deaver.

Elizabeth King joined Fish & Richardson’s Houston office as of counsel.

She has nearly 25 years of experience practising law, with the last 20 years focused on domestic and international trademark law.

In addition to trademark prosecution and protection, King has experience in handling trademark infringement cases in federal court and before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Before her time at Sutton, King served as a shareholder and director at Conley Rose. She has also served as an examining attorney at the USPTO.

Cynthia Walden, Fish & Richardson’s trademark and copyright practice group leader, said: “She is a top-notch attorney with impressive expertise developing global trademark protection strategies for large clients with complex issues.”
