Finnegan hires litigator from ITC
Law firm Finnegan has hired IP litigator Reginald Lucas for its office in Washington DC, who joins from the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Lucas has more than 10 years of experience litigating Section 337 proceedings and several years of experience litigating proceedings at both the ITC and in district court.
This includes extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial due diligence, claim construction/Markman hearings, invalidity and infringement contentions, witness statements and expert reports, depositions, motions practice, and first-chair trial experience.
He has litigated high-profile patent, trade secret, and trademark cases for Fortune 500 technology companies focused on sophisticated, state-of-the-art computer technology, including cellular communication protocols (eg, 3G and LTE) and electronic consumer devices (eg, PCs, cellular telephones, sonar/radar devices, solid state disk drives, and audio speakers).
Most notably, he served as lead IP counsel for the ITC in Apple v Samsung Electronics (2015).
“We are thrilled to have Reginald join the firm,” said Finnegan’s managing partner, Erika Harmon Arner. “His extensive ITC experience in the high-tech space is a terrific addition to our litigation practice.”
The firm has now more than 230 litigators experienced in all forms of US IP litigation, German patent litigation, and European patent litigation across virtually all industries.
