From April 29 to May 1, LESI will welcome more than 500 IP professionals to San Diego, California, for three days of education, networking, and professional development.
The Licensing Executives Society (USA and Canada), a member of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), is the office host of the LESI 2018 Annual Conference.
On the first day of the conference, Sunday, April 29, the Young Members Congress will host a session to introduce members to volunteer opportunities with the society. Participating panellists will provide detailed first hand information on the myriad of LESI committees and activities, and they discuss the various professional benefits that are associated with being an active LESI volunteer.
"In addition to the networking opportunities throughout the conference, a number of educational courses will be offered."
Following this event, attendees will officially launch the LESI 2018 Annual Conference at a welcome reception overlooking San Diego Harbor. Attendees will enjoy cocktails and networking as the conference is officially opened.
The following day, Mike Hoefflinger will give the plenary session keynote address “Think You Know Facebook’s Story ... Think Again, and Learn Along the Way”. Hoefflinger previously served as director of global business marketing at Facebook between 2009 and 2015.
After a full day of exciting sessions, attendees are invited to unwind at the “South of the Border” networking reception, where attendees can relax on the pool terrace overlooking the San Diego skyline.
Jennifer Golbeck will provide a plenary session on the final day of the conference, addressing “Datashock: Artificial Intelligence, Connectedness, and Readying for the Big Data Future”.
The conference will close with the LESI 2018 Annual Conference gala reception and dinner. The Coronado Terrace & Ballroom will be transformed into a final celebration of World IP Day as the conference comes to a close.
In addition to the networking opportunities throughout the conference, a number of educational courses will be offered, including: “Advanced Negotiation Skills”, “Best Practices in IP Licensing”, and the “CLP Exam Review Course”.
