Vinson & Elkins opens office in Taipei
Law firm Vinson & Elkins (V&E) has opened a new office in Taipei, Taiwan.
David Tsai (pictured below, left) and Christopher Kao (pictured below, right), partners at the firm, will oversee the new office.
It will focus on serving its clients in the Asia-Pacific region and Taiwan, and will offer litigation in intellectual property, complex commercial litigation and corporate matters.
Tsai and Kao have experience in patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret cases, and they have represented clients in the software and telecommunications industries.
Darryl Woo, co-head of the firm’s IP practice group, said: “V&E’s move into Taipei will greatly benefit the firm’s global IP and litigation practices while also generating synergies with our other offices and practice groups serving clients based in Asia.”
The office is the firm’s fourth in Asia and 16th worldwide.
