Thompson Hine promotes patent attorney to partner

US law firm Thompson Hine has promoted Susan Oiler to partner at its Ohio office.

The promotion was announced on Thursday (January 15) but has been in effect since January 1.

Oiler joined the firm in 2006 and specialises in preparing and prosecuting patents for companies in the mechanical and chemical industries.

She is among eight people promoted to the firm’s partnership.

Deborah Read, managing partner at Thompson Hine, said: “Each of these lawyers exhibits exceptional skill in his or her area and demonstrates our firm’s commitment to client service excellence.

“We welcome them to our partnership,” she added.
