Thompson Hine expands IP group in Cincinnati

Law firm Thompson Hine has expanded its intellectual property practice in Cincinnati with the appointment of two patent specialists.

William Allen (pictured below, left) and Scott Gaines (pictured below, right) join the firm from IP boutique firm Wood Herron & Evans.

Allen, who joins as partner, and Gaines, who joins an associate, specialise in patent prosecution in areas including wireless technology and software and business methods.

Shane Starkey, partner-in-charge of the Thompson Hine’s Cincinnati office, said: “We have seen a growing need for lawyers with this type of technical background and are pleased to welcome them to the firm.”
