Steptoe & Johnson expands IP team with two new hires

Steptoe & Johnson LLP has continued the expansion of its IP team with the appointment of Bobby Greenfeld (pictured below, left) and Jeff Lee (pictured below, right).

Both follow the arrival of John Molenda, who last month was appointed co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare & Life Sciences industry team. They will join him in the New York office.

Greenfeld joins as of counsel and advises on patent, trademark and copyright law. Prior to joining the firm, he was counsel at US-based law firm Mayer Brown. He has also worked as an engineer at telecommunications company AT&T Bell Labs.

Lee joins as an associate. His focus is on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical industry. He previously worked as a patent agent at biopharmaceutical company Human Genome Sciences.

Steptoe & Johnson LLP employs more than 500 lawyers across the US, UK, China and Belgium.

Molenda said: “I’m thrilled to have Bobby and Jeff on board with me at Steptoe. Both bring stellar legal and technical credentials to the table, particularly in electrical engineering, computer software and molecular biology. Together, we look forward to growing Steptoe’s IP capabilities in New York.”
