At the INTA annual conference on Sunday, WIPR met an astronaut while touring the Kennedy Space Center, headed to Walt Disney World Resort, requested songs in a bar and attended the legendary party hosted by Arochi & Lindner. Here is a roundup of Sunday night’s receptions.

NetNames: Out of this world

Sunday kicked off with a drinks reception that was truly out of this world. Brand protection company NetNames hosted an event at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. Guests were treated to a tour of the centre, close up views of the world famous launch pad that helped man take his first steps on the moon, and lunch with former astronaut Jon McBride.

INTA: Welcome reception

After hearing from INTA’s CEO and president and listening to a fascinating keynote speech from Warner Bros and DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson, delegates headed downstairs for INTA’s post-opening ceremony welcome drinks. Guests from all over the world convened in the convention centre to sample drinks and food.

Fieldfisher: Disney magic

No trip to Orlando would be complete without a venture to Walt Disney World Resort. Law firm Fieldfisher welcomed delegates to the Four Seasons Resort for a relaxing drinks reception. WIPR took in the surroundings, which included a landscape garden, and enjoyed a drink or two with friends.

101 Domain: Duelling pianos

Live music bar Howl at the Moon played host to domain name company 101 Domain’s reception. The centre point of the evening was two adjacent pianos whose occupiers were playing requests ranging from Bon Jovi to Taylor Swift. The WIPR team enjoyed local beers and even requested a song of our own, though we won’t reveal which one!

Arochi & Lindner: Living up to expectations

Mexican law firm Arochi & Lindner’s INTA reception has become legendary over the last few years. Every year hundreds of delegates flock to the reception for the promise of a memorable night. This year was no exception. Mango’s Tropical Cafe had been hired out for an evening of dancing, drinking and fun which had delegates jumping on the stage within minutes.
