Orrick boosts team with two Arent Fox lawyers

Orrick has expanded its team with the addition of Paul Fakler and Eric Roman to its IP practice in New York.

Fakler advises on complex copyright litigation and policy matters, including on royalty rate disputes before the Copyright Royalty Board. He joins Orrick as a partner, and his clients have included Yahoo and Sirius XM.

Roman will join Orrick’s IP practice as of counsel. He served as partner at Arent Fox for eight years.

Annette Hurst, a partner in Orrick’s IP practice, said: “Paul’s vast experience advising leaders in the digital music industry on the most important copyright issues of the day will be a significant boost to our IP team.”

Fakler added that he was excited to join the team and looked forward to contributing to the continuing growth of Orrick’s national and international practice.
