Olswang strengthens in London

Olswang LLP has appointed Campbell Forsyth as a partner in its IP group, the firm announced in April.

Before joining Olswang, Forsyth established the specialist IP and patent practice Forsyth Simpson in 2004. Its clients came from the pharmaceutical industry.

Michael Burdon, head of the intellectual property group at Olswang, said, “I've known Forsyth for a long time. He is a talented patent litigator who brings a wealth of expertise to our firm.”

“By joining Olswang, he is able to dedicate more time and offer a greater breadth of service to his existing client base through the use of our infrastructure and resources. We equally look forward to utilising his European litigation expertise to build our IP practice across Olswang’s European offices.”

Forsyth added: “Olswang's approach is distinctly refreshing and progressive and I believe that in joining their IP group I am able to translate this to my client base.”

“Not only do I look forward to offering my clients a range of high-calibre legal services from a firm with an impressive international reach, but also to introducing them to Olswang's unique culture and an IP team comprising of trusted colleagues who I have grown to know and respect over the years.”
