McKool Smith LLP has added veteran International Trade Commission (ITC) trial lawyer Kent Stevens to lead its Washington, DC office.
Stevens, who has more than 20 years’ experience in IP litigation, specialises in handling Section 337 investigations before the US-based ITC. He was previously a partner at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP.
“Kent is an expert in ITC litigation and a very well-respected trial lawyer,” said Mike McKool, co-founder and chairman of the firm. “His expertise will be a valuable asset to our clients and our national IP litigation practice. I am pleased to welcome him to the firm.”
McKool Smith recently opened an office in Silicon Valley, the firm’s eighth office. In September 2011 it merged with Los Angeles trial firm Hennigan Dorman LLP. The merger increased McKool Smith’s litigation team by 35 lawyers. The firm now has around 170 litigators.
