Based in the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland office, Melissa Martinez handles patent litigation related to consumer electronics, computer systems, GPS, and wireless technologies.
She has experience in matters related to financial services, business torts, and contractual disputes, and has represented clients in trial and appellate matters in both federal and state courts.
Andriana Daly, based in Richmond, Virginia, focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright matters across a range of industries such as telecoms, medical device manufacturing, and transportation. She has represented clients at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Also based in Richmond, and joining the partnership, are Justin Lowery and Brian Schmalzbach.
Lowery represents clients in high-tech patent disputes involving wireless technologies, biomedical devices, and semiconductor design. He has experience of litigating at the district courts and the US International Trade Commission.
Schmalzbach focuses his practice on appellate litigation, including patent matters, and he has also drafted briefs and petitions for the US Supreme Court.
McGuireWoods has promoted a total of 17 new partners.
