Latham & Watkins recruits senior trial lawyer in Washington, DC

US-based law firm Latham & Watkins has employed a senior trial lawyer to the firm’s IP litigation practice in Washington, DC.

Rachel Weiner Cohen follows in the footsteps of Kevin Wheeler, Jamie Underwood and Tara Elliott, who joined the firm from October 2017 to May 2018 respectively.

“Rachel is a fantastic addition to our growing IP trial team here in Washington and is well-positioned to help us build on our recent string of major appellate victories,” commented Michael Egge, office managing partner of the firm’s Washington, DC branch.

“Clients will also benefit from her insight into many of the disruptive technologies at the heart of IP disputes,” he added.

Weiner Cohen has experience representing clients in a range of industries including semiconductor manufacturing, power conversion, automotive parts, multimedia, mobile, and social networking.

Cohen was previously employed by WilmerHale in Washington, DC.

She said she is “delighted to be joining such a talented team”.
