Latham promotes IP lawyers to partner and counsel
Latham & Watkins has promoted two associates with IP expertise: Fiona Maclean in London and Jason Daniels in San Francisco.
Maclean, who has joined the firm’s partnership, has particular expertise in IP issues related to cybersecurity, cloud computing, and fintech.
As a member of the firm’s corporate department, she also advises clients on data strategy, system integration, and multi-jurisdictional technology transformation projects.
Daniels, promoted to counsel, is a member of the firm’s litigation and trial department. His practice focuses on antitrust matters relating to complex mergers, government investigations, and litigations, and he counsels clients on contract and competition issues that intersect with IP.
In total, Latham & Watkins has promoted 31 associates to the partnership and 22 to the role of counsel, according to an announcement made on Monday, October 30. The promotions will be effective from January 1, 2019.
Rich Trobman, chair and managing partner of the firm, said: “We congratulate these new partners and counsel on their promotions, which have been earned through a dedication to quality, integrity, and client and community service across our global platform.
“They truly embody our culture of teamwork and innovation, and we look forward to their continued success.”
