Former Panasonic counsel joins Chadbourne & Parke

Law firm Chadbourne & Parke has hired Michael Solomita as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property group in New York.

Solomita joins from law firm Sheppard Mullin, where he worked as a partner. He previously worked as an in-house patent counsel at Panasonic.

He has experience in patent claims, prosecuting applications and challenging the validity of patents before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Solomita’s clients include companies in the technology industry.

Paul Tanck, head of the firm’s IP group, said: “Michael is a talented and respected patent litigator with a great track record, both in and outside of the courtroom. His in-house role at a leading technology company headquartered in Japan gives him multiple layers of experience and perspective to draw upon.”
