Former ITC director joins Morrison & Foerster
Morrison & Foerster LLP announced yesterday, June 2, that Lynn Levine, former director of the US International Trade Commission’s (ITC’s) Office of Unfair Import Investigations (OUII), has joined the firm’s IP group.
She joins Morrison & Foerster’s Washington, DC office as senior of counsel.
Levine was director of OUII for 25 years, and has worked on matters related to Section 337 litigation for more than three decades.
While at the ITC, she worked on patent-based investigations that focused on information technology and telecommunications.
Levine has experience in all phases of Section 337 litigation, including pre-filing complaint reviews and institution proceedings, as well as trial, review and remedy phases.
She has also worked on investigations involving unfair competition, trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation.
“Lynn is an extraordinarily accomplished lawyer and an established authority on Section 337 matters,” said Rachel Krevans, chair of Morrison & Foerster’s IP litigation practice group.
“We believe that the knowledge and insights she has gained from serving as one of the ITC’s top officials will enhance our ITC and intellectual property practices, bolstering our Section 337 litigation practice in particular. She will be an invaluable asset to our IP group and our clients, who will benefit greatly from her deep ITC experience.”
Levine said: “I am excited to join MoFo. Given my ITC background, the firm’s DC office is the perfect fit for my practice.”
Morrison & Foerster has 17 offices worldwide, based in the US, Asia and Europe.
