Finnegan adds three to London office

IP law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner has hired three partners to bolster its London office.

Philip Cupitt, Hazel Ford, and Daryl Penny will bring the partner count in the office to five since its launch ten months ago.

Cupitt focuses his practice on drafting and prosecuting patent applications across the full spectrum of engineering disciplines and has experience in opposition and appeals before the European Patent Office.

Ford will join the firm’s biotechnology/pharmaceutical practice group and has handled EPO oppositions in technologies related to antibodies and drug delivery formulations.

Penny focuses on patent drafting, prosecution and oppositions in the physics, mechanical, and electrical fields.

Anthony Tridico, managing partner of the firm’s London office said: “We are thrilled to welcome them to the firm and look forward to the continued growth of the office and our European patent practice.

“Our unique combination of both US and UK IP law capabilities offers greater opportunity and options for our clients, as well as the cost efficiencies that can come with a coordinated global approach.”
