Fenwick adds IP tech partner from Davis & Gilbert
After spending more than 11 years at Davis & Gilbert, Vejay Lalla has joined Fenwick & West as a partner in the firm’s New York office.
Based in Fenwick’s technology transactions practice, Lalla will assist clients with content distribution and licensing arrangements. He will also advise clients on digital distribution through social platforms and mobile applications, as well as through traditional media, such as film and TV.
Lalla has experience in dealing with regulatory matters at the US Federal Trade Commission. His industry knowledge includes digital media, e-commerce, and advertising, with a focus on helping clients navigate technological transactions.
At Davis & Gilbert Lalla served as a partner in the firm’s technology, advertising, and digital media practice. Prior to that, he directed the business and legal affairs of broadcast company Lifetime Entertainment Services.
Jennifer Stanley, chair of the firm’s copyright practice and co-chair of the game industry group, said: “Vejay is an innovator and a solution-oriented counsellor for companies facing novel business and legal issues in the digital media and consumer tech space.”
Lalla added that Fenwick’s strong focus on technology companies and innovators is an “ideal match” for his practice and the needs of his clients.
