IP litigator Eric Osterberg has opened a new firm in Stamford, Connecticut.
Osterberg LLC, formed in April 2012, specialises in copyright, trademark and patent infringement, as well as other IP abuses.
The firm’s founder has litigated a wide range of IP disputes in federal courts in the US. He has specialised in cases involving companies in the music, media and technology industries.
Pointing to the increasing importance of the Internet in IP disputes, he said: “While today’s technology tools enable innovation like never before, they also set the stage for more potential hazards and abuse. Copying inventions, images, music and other IP is harmful not only to the property owner, but also to the system as a whole because ultimately it erodes the incentive to innovate.”
