Charles Russell Speechlys appoints TMT head in Dubai
Charles Russell Speechlys has added two new partners, including IP practitioner Mark Hill, to its Dubai office.
In a press release issued Friday, March 1, the firm announced that Hill would be heading up a new technology, media and telecommunications team.
Senior associate Lara Haider will join Hill from The Rights Lawyers, the United Arab Emirates-based boutique firm he established in 2003.
Hill has served as lead counsel in international arbitrations and advises clients in the creative and technology industries.
Mary Bagnall, head of IP at Charles Russell Speechlys, said that Hill’s “broad expertise and reputation for both contentious and non-contentious work will strengthen our increasingly high-profile international brand management practice”.
Hill said: “The opportunity to join Charles Russell Speechlys and integrate into a full-service law firm with a truly international reach is a perfect fit for my profile and I’m delighted to be joining the growing Middle East team at this exciting time.”
The firm has also recruited civil law attorney Thanos Karvelis as partner in the Dubai office.
