Barnes & Thornburg promotes IP counsel to partner

Law firm Barnes & Thornburg has promoted Niall MacLeod to partner at its Minneapolis office.

Before joining the firm in 2010 as of counsel, MacLeod was partner at Myers Boebel MacLeod, which he helped found in 2007.

He specialises in patent litigation and has worked in disputes relating to telecommunications, software and medical devices.

He is among nine promotions at the firm which also appointed Chad Stover as partner at its Minneapolis office last year.

Barnes & Thornburg was founded in 1982, and employs 600 people across 12 offices in the US.
