Banner & Witcoff hires shareholder to Washington, DC office
US-based law firm Banner & Witcoff has hired patent litigation attorney John Hutchins as a shareholder in its Washington, DC office.
Hutchins previously worked as a partner in Kenyon & Kenyon’s Washington, DC office, which eventually became Hunton Andrews Kurth. His specialities include litigation in the International Trade Commission, appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, licence drafting and negotiations, and patent post-grant proceedings.
“Having spent 20 years litigating at an IP firm, I am greatly looking forward to the opportunity to join Banner & Witcoff, a firm with the strongest reputation for handling IP matters and a deep bench of experienced attorneys,” he commented.
Hutchins has dealt with IP-related cases involving consumer electronics, automotive components, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce.
Banner & Witcoff president Charles Miller added: “John’s addition to our standout team of litigators will strengthen our ability to provide successful results to our clients.”
