BakerHostetler continues expansion of US IP team
BakerHostetler has continued to strengthen its US IP team with the appointment of Pierre Yanney as a partner in the firm’s IP group and patent litigation team in New York.
Yanney joins from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, where he served as a partner for nearly eight years.
He has more than 20 years of experience in both patent litigation and prosecution, and has represented clients before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Yanney advises companies across a range of high-tech industries, including electronic systems and controls, telecommunications, and electronic medical devices and instruments.
“We pride ourselves on attracting team members with a combination of intellectual strength, legal prowess and technical talent—and Pierre epitomises that,” said Mark Tidman, chair of BakerHostetler’s IP group.
The firm said that it has “significantly” boosted its IP practice this year with the appointment of 21 attorneys across the US.
