Alston & Bird adds to LA office

Law firm Alston & Bird has expanded its intellectual property litigation practice in Los Angeles with the appointment of David Stein as partner.

Stein, a patent specialist, joins from law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

He has more than 18 years’ experience in patent and commercial litigation and has been involved in cases regarding semiconductors, medical devices and sporting goods.

Keith Broyles, co-leader of the firm’s IP litigation group, said: “David is a first-rate litigator whose combination of IP insight and strong legal background makes him an exceptional addition to our team.”
